Tri-State Droid Builders is a local chapter of the Droid Builders which is a non-profit organization of volunteer Star Wars Fans who have built life size operational droids. They use the droids to bring smiles to fans at comic-cons and to bring awareness to charitable and community causes. Each year, along with other Star Wars fan groups, they each put in hundreds of volunteer hours into causes that range from hospitals, libraries, schools, Make-A-Wish, St Jude’s, The Children’s Miracle Network, Disney’s Force For Change, and numerous other charitable causes.
